The focus for this transformation was making the lounge a space Lucy and Liam genuinely wanted to spend time in. We started by reworking the floor plan to open up the entryway and create better flow through the home. From there, we sourced a larger, more comfortable couch (found on Marketplace—for free!), giving the room the kind of relaxed seating it was missing.

A gorgeous rug from TK Maxx instantly added warmth and definition to the space, grounding the layout and tying the colour palette together. We styled the room with a mix of lush greenery, ambient candles, well-loved books, and personal pieces that made the space feel like them. Every item was intentionally chosen to reflect their personality and bring comfort into the everyday.

This room is proof that thoughtful styling doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag—it just takes creativity, intention, and a little bit of hunting.
